AA vacation, Day 7, Part 1

On our way out to worship this morning we again stopped to feed the ducks. They are so cute. And there are bunny rabbits hopping ALL over the resort. Sometimes I don't even notice them at first because they are so still. We can get relatively close to them but once we start walking their way, they hop away.

Worship this morning was good. The preacher has three adopted children; two Hispanic and one Chinese. Of the three two are deaf. The preacher was raised Southern Baptist and his spouse is Jewish. Talk about a melting pot!

Later this morning we'll be hearing Jay Bakker, the son of Jim and Tammy Faye. He is an advocate of gay rights and he's not even gay. Excellent!

It's currently 94 degrees at 9:29 am. Yesterday it got up to 108 and today and tomorrow it is supposed to hit 115. Everyone is saying it's going to be the hottest day of the year. I've spoken to several people who have lived here for quite a long time and they don't like the heat; they'd prefer the heat (and humidity) of Florida. Give me this any day.

Happy 4th.
