one more night

Only one more night until the weekend. Yes, I have the (un)fortunate luck of working nights. Actually, it's not as bad as I make it sound. I would loooooove a daytime shift and try whenever the opportunity comes up.

So, you want to be an internet video star. Oh come on, you know you do. A 19-year old in Bergen County, NJ, became one. To the tune of a Romanian pop song (oh, yes, they have pop too) bounced his head, waved his arms and lip-synched while making a video using his computer. He did it for his friends but now he's become something of a celebrity. And he still has 14mins left of his fame. I was going to include the website but it seems to have been moved or temporarily down.

ridiculous item of the day: Goosebumps products, a Florida area shoe company, had to toss around 35,000 pairs of shoes. Apparently, the shoes were made with a low-grade glycerin that was watered down. As a result, air bubbles formed inside the insoles. Can you see where this is going? Yes, people would walk in the shoes and each time they stepped there would be the sound of someone passing gas. Ewww....can you imagine? How embarrassing. That's worse than the whooshing noise that George's pants made on Seinfeld. According to a report by the chemist, when people step down on them, "a flatulence-like noise" is produced.

Sole Survivor: Tonight marks the premiere of the 10th installment of Survivor. This is my fav reality show (the ONLY other one I watch is Amazing Race). There's just something exciting and compelling about Survivor. Yes, most of these people are selfish, appalling, cruel people that based on how they act on Survivor, I would not want to meet them in real life. Maybe I like seeing people make fools of themselves on tv and then wondering how they will ever be able to face their friends and family again. Makes me grateful that I strive to be honest and faithful each day.

That's all for now. Hope you are all well. More later.......

love,

p
